KAMPUNG girl

There are things that I would never reveal to my parents.
I'm afraid I would have to quit from CitiBank if I reveal the truth.

Awal2 dulu, department saya ade wat department week.
Managers, head of unit, TL, sume ade!
And most of them are Chinese and Indian.
Mase closing ceremony 2, ade la makan2 sket.
Pas diowang becakap-cakap, diowang pon nk amix botol wine.
WINE ok!
Saya nampak sendiri ngan mata saya yg bercontact lense ni, ade dlm 3-5 botol wine kat atas meja!
I was like.. Uuuuuhhhhh!!! Rase mahu pingsan!
How if mereka-mereka itu membuka wine tersebut lalu pass kan kepada kami-kami?
Menggigil satu badan wo!

Tp nasib baik la ade sorang akak ni cepat2 tuangkan nescafe dlm cawan kitowang! Hehe..


Dan arini 1 lagi kisah saya.
Prem our trainer ade pool tournament kat MidVal.
So kitowang konon2 nk g sokong la kan..
It's last minute planning, and I'm wearing baju kurung today!
Tp demi Prem, saya join gak. Cewah!

Dania ngan Didi g smayang Asar. Saya A.B.C so join la diowang2 yg laen.
Kitowang pon masuk la dalam tempat pool 2.
Ntah ape name dye, saya xtaw and xmo taw.
Masuk2 je, rase mahu pitam!
Dgn music ntah pape, pas 2 kat tepi 2 mcm ala2 bar.
Ade mcm2 brand liquor. Rase mahu nangis!

Then, Daveena cuit lengan saya.

- I feel so awkward!
+ Me too.
- I'm wearing my punjabi suits, and now I'm here!
+ At least u're better than me. I'm wearing baju kurung with tudung and I just enter this place!

Seriously, xde sorang pon pakai baju kurung kat situ apatah lagi yg pakai tudung.
Daveena tarik tangan saya, suh ikot yg laen cri Prem.
Saya geleng.

This is not my place.
I can't be in this kind of place.
I hate that loud music!
I hate the drink that they serve!
I hate the people there!

And I just leave the place without seeing Prem first.
Because I don't want to be like others. I don't care if they would call me KAMPUNG girl.
Because that's what I am.
