he has LEAVED us, FOREVER T_T

This morning, as I attended a Personal Finance Seminar at UM branch somewhere in KL I was getting very shock as I heard that En. Halim has passed away last night. I don’t know how to describe it but it is really a heartbroken for me. I didn’t even know him, just familiar with his name but last week my Personal Finance lecturer did mention about him. In last week lecture, we learnt about insurance. One of the common types of insurance is medical insurance. However, only few Malaysian have awareness regarding the importance of that medical insurance and only a small percentage of Malaysian took that insurance.

Back to En. Halim, he used to be our faculty’s deputy dean. Now his position was taken by the horrible En. Abdul Samad. Hehe.. Hurm, if I’m not mistaken En. Halim was attacked by minor stroke a day before raya last year. Within 12hours, he was then attacked by major stroke. As he is a division A government servant, he was sent straight away to the government hospital because he didn’t own any medical insurance.

In my point of view, I think that 12hours was good enough for the specialist to take an immediate and preventive action to save En. Halim but since he was in government hospital, nothing much could be done. Nothing could be done within that 12hours and his condition became worst when he was attacked by major stroke. If En. Halim do own medical insurance.. If their family able to bear the cost of transferring him to private hospital.. If.. and if.. and if…..

I’m not trying to blame government hospital nor denying their expertise. It is not that services provided by government hospital are bad but as they have shortage staff, nothing much could be done. Poor En. Halim, he was attacked by stroke a day before raya. I am very sure that most of the staff was leaving for their hari raya holidays on that day.

As contrast to government hospital, private hospital would definitely work at their best effort to save En. Halim. It is all the power of money. I’m not saying that money could save us from dying but at least with money we could get a better treatment. Ajal maut di tangan Illahi tapi kita sebagai umatnya wajib berikhtiar untuk yg terbaik.

Raya 2009, genap 1tahun En. Halim koma. Beliau koma sejak diserang major stroke. During this period, his eyes opened widely but his brain was not functioning anymore. Dan hari ni, malaikat maut telah menjemput En. Halim setelah lebih setahun beliau berperang dengan maut.

I just couldn’t stop crying while I wrote this because it was just last week my lecturer told us about En. Halim. I even told my friend if it is possible, how if we, students at our faculty donate some money to En. Halim. But it is really a distressing to not being able to do something to En. Halim as he has leaved us. Forever!

But one thing for sure, at last he didn’t suffer anymore. Dah lebih setahun beliau koma dan saya pasti ianya sesuatu yg menyeksakan. Saya kira, family En. Halim pun redha dengan permergian En. Halim. My sincere condolence goes out to his family and relatives. It must be hard for them but maybe it is the best. Nothing much I could do know except recite Al-Fatihah for him. Semoga En. Halim ditempatkan di kalangan orang2 terpuji dan dijauhi seksa alam kubur. Amin………
